Stop just saying "here" in your posts add your locations.

To add you location to your profile "Top right of the screen click on the dropdown next to your name, click CONTROL PANEL from the drop down list, in the screen that opens select EDIT YOUR DETAILS go to location and type".

Still snowing lightly here in Firhouse. Attached is the view outside the window a few minutes ago. We are the last estate before the mountains.

M2 was 4.7 an hour ago... its the stronger showers that are producing snow...
The difference of 0.2 isn't worth a damn. Ballyhaise and Mullingar met stations, both further inland and further north, are reporting 1 degree compared to Dublin Airport's 0. And even at Dublin Airport it's apparently alternating between snow and sleet.

This chart helps show what I'm talking about:
    http://expert-images.weatheronline.co.uk/daten/proficharts/en/nae/2013/01/21/basis06/ukuk/th85/13012109_2106.gif

If the wind direction keeps shifting towards northerly and is dragged down from northern leinster, some of that ought to become cold again quite quickly, and this shift in wind direction is indeed forecasted to happen. Could be a very interesting day for the northern half of leinster, albeit with sleet instead of snow for many near the east coast.

You may be in with a shout tonight when another front from the Atlantic pushes in. This may make more headway than last night's system.

It's raining in coastal Wicklow. Horrible, miserable rain.

Air Temperature 1.8°C (dropped 2 degrees from 3.8 at 7am)
    Dewpoint 0.7°C (rose 1.5 degress from -0.1 at 7am)
