sleet/rain turning more to sleet/snow now in Belfast. Temp dropped a bit in centre - sitting around 2C, if it drops some more we could have a repeat of Friday. I've never seen snow stick to a wet/saturated ground like it before!

I think it's still just about cold enough for snow in Tallaght.
DP is around 0c, according to MSN.

Is there an unequivocal source for local DP values? I'm using MSN weather currently.

woke up to a cm or two of melting snow, almost gone now. This whole cold spell was kinda weak as it's just been too mild by day and night for continued lying of snow plus we've had no clear skies/frosts by night so that made it even more difficult. This spell is more like a cold spell you get mid-march than the end of January. Hopefully in the next few week's we will get a proper cold snap with sub zero temperatures and snow that will last for a few days or more! Unlikely to get a 2010 event but a halfway measure between that and what we have now would be good.

To hell with snow, was a passenger in a single vehicle accident this morning. Came over a speed ramp (Which is situated on an off camber corner) and went straight into a tree. The van is done for, my legs hurt like fúck. Fúck snow.

Just a few photos from Sandyford. It has been on and off all day. Melting now for quite a while but about an hour ago we had a really big shower of big fat juicy flakes of snow which almost covered everything up again. pity the temp's too low. Kids even managed to build a snowman
