    Im not convinced we will see anything decent :(

    I agree . . . . . I seen my first flakes of snow this morning since winter 2010/11 but no accumulation, so it would be nice if we got something lying on the ground for a couple of days :o

    This is my first post. Bein lurking around boards weather forums 4 a while now so I taut I might aswel join in the fun. Was really hoping that system in the Irish sea would track a bit more southeast and give us a chance at some snow for a change. But it seems to have just started moving northwards nd giving the north a covering.:(

    First good shower at the minute (Lifford) started as rain but some sort of white stuff is starting to stick to the car, not a drop all weekend.

    It does to me too!

    All snow has now melted from roads and pavements. Still snow on roofs, grass, etc.

    * rolls down blinds *

    Not sure what's more depressing...not getting snow or seeing the snow you got melt...:o

    Good photos. At what height/altitude roughly was there widespread snow lying on the ground? How were the roads?

    GFS agrees with NAE for game over for Dublin area this evening. Game over for the Southwest tonight too. Northern Ireland is the place to be and even there it's marginal. Next!

    Just rainy sleet in Belfast all day - elevation very much required for any snow here today

    From about 120 meters ASL and upwards. snow on road wasn't to bad because of a few cars driving through but everywhere else it was lying on the ground and it was still snowing.

    ECM has us in a blowtorch southwesterly setup by Monday. It's well into FI so i suppose it's not to trusted. Let's hope for a proper cold reload from the northeast later next week.

    Just rolling back into Tallaght from town.
    Definitely much more snow about, mountains are still completely white with low clouds hanging on them.

    Say it's a different world up there today.
