Couldnt believe it when I woke up to snow this morning in D6 ! It wasnt spectacular and it was very shortlived but it was great to see some snow again all the same! :) Woke up to about half an inch then we got some heavy-ish wet snow for about an hour or so. It stoppped around 9am and most of the snow was gone by 10! Hopefully well get a decent cold snap in feb:D

We seem to have about 3 threads now all covering the one topic.
Perhaps as things have calmed down some could be closed
Is there need for an East / West divide when 90% of the country looks dry!

Never say never..... Definite chance of precip there, exact projection of where this precip will move later is very hard to pint point, with the weak flows and eddioes

Snowed for nearly 6 hours today in Cooley, NE Louth. Eventually stuck to the ground by 3pm. Light flurries falling right now. Exciting times!

Them Connacht rustlers will never get through Maeve's gap now. :)

The serious white stuff seems to be a bit north of there, inland areas like Banbridge/Lisburn

Getting some lying snow in Belfast at the minute. Its a bit fluffier than the stuff we had on Friday.

From talking to relatives there has been quite a bit of snow all afternoon around the Carryduff, Saintfield and Ballynahinch areas of Co Down.

Nice band of precip to come up across the country from South to North tonight/tomorrow morning.

Won't be spectacular but better than nothing.

Met eireann seem to think so. U can see it approaching on there 3 hour forecast and it stil has a fair amount of precipitation in it. Weather it's cold enough or not is another question?

It was going north but is now heading south east and away from Ireland. Doesn't look good for tonight.

Very slim chance of even light snow by the looks of it, did you not get enough snow lastnight :pac:

Looking over at Mt Leinster today it was pure white, that's where all Kilkenny's snow is. Greedy mountain

It is freezing allready here and is forecast to get down to -2c, gritters were out this evening so hopefully the roads will be ok, a light dusting might be a safer alternative to ice?

Been snowing since eleven this morning in my part of Tyrone. Real fine stuff. It's only really making any impact on the previous snow since the temperatures dipped this evening. Should be an interesting morning if it continues through the night!
