just by observing the last two update on met radar it look as if the radar has pushed a bit more inland and doesnt seem to be fizzling out as of yet, could this be possible that i might move more inland still ?

I hope the snow shield will fall apart and pray pray for some snow.

The nordies have all the snow. None for Dublin.

Its pretty cold. Been freezing here since 4.30 or so... although my phone ap hasnt been in agreement but the frost on my car has told me otherwise!! Defrosted it n went to shop at 5 n it was frozen again when I came out 20mins later!!

Yea seems to be much colder den last night. A lot of weather stations reporting sub zero temps already. :)

It feels much colder than last night (dublin here) yet it snowed early morning today.

Is dublin unlikely to get snow tonight? Was watching the bbc news and norther ireland is getting hammered out of it. Its crazy to think how snow generally avoids dublin :p

Definitely colder, the sky looks a bit more like a snow sky tonight too

I would not say that the snow is "avoiding" Dublin, in fairness the capital has had more than its fair share of snow in the past :D

Its just that the winds are south east at the moment which is pushing the snow into the north east, i.e. north Leinster and Ulster. If the wind was north east, then you would be outside in Dublin building your snowman. ;)

Luck of the draw I suppose.

    D

The YR model i posted earlier has the precip tracking North until mid morning. Going by it, all counties South of the line from Dublin to Clare should get something, but it doesn't look like anything significant except for parts of Wexford, Wicklow and Dublin. Once it clears that line it fizzles out. Patchy bits of precip for the rest of tomorrow but its very patchy. It looks like the best we will see up until Thursday.

What sort of setup are we expecting on Thursday?

Some shower activity picking up along the Clare coast, temps too high I fear, and it seems to be weakening.

My bad, latest report says it's -2 at my closest station. :o

Still plenty of the fluffy stuff here in Belfast. We've got about 4/5 cm since 6.30. Radar is looking good for a while yet.

I know of people having to abandon cars and walk home towards Four Winds area of South Belfast.

Perfect conditions up there, showers cracking away and no sea wind to turn the precip to rain.

This is the type of situation that coastal Dublin will need if they want snow in the next 2 days (No onshore wind)

I take it this morning snowfall was south Dublin's fill until Feb?
