Did you go up in the end? What were the conditions like?

Ended up the Wicklow Way over near Cruagh Wood instead and there was a good bit of snow but melting fast ! Am very jealous of the UK lads at the minute, would love that amount of snow.

Wait til it melts, and they get flooding, you wont be to jealous then ;)

I don't suppose anyone knows if there's any snow left in Wicklow?
In my opinion there must be still a lot of snow up in Wickla for any day trippers from Dublin to enjoy tomorrow, clear skies tonight and fairly low temps will delay the thaw for a day or two. I know the heavy rain today would have thawed a lot of the snow but as I've said the clear skies behind the front will delay the thaw.

M6 in Lancashire, UK completely blocked by snow. Cars stuck. Police and mountain rescue trying to get people out.

Mostly trucks, and not a ridiculous amount of snow.

Love how MT, in his latest forecast for early Feb, discounts the models, yet predicts it using his scientific brain and research! We could call it the MTC Model?? It rolls most days between 6am and 8am! Fascinating

I can see it's mostly melted on 3 rock but the hills behind it are still covered in snow so go up high enough & you'll find snow no problem.

Woke up to a lovely, sunny yet windy morning in Ticknock. Got a heavy shower about half an hour back which has now tuned to quite heavy snow. Not a hope of it sticking ATM as the ground is soaked from the earlier shower. :(

Lads the ground being wet isn't the reason the snow isn't sticking. Its just not cold enough.

I Saw more snow in that heavy shower that hit kildare than the whole of the last cold spell

    Had wet snow here.

Dublin Mountains now have a fresh dusting of snow from that shower.

Had a heavy snow shower, but ground is very wet. Raining now, but had begun to settle on the grass even at this level. Mountains back to white though.
