straw clutching time, temperatures could fall after dark as winds back SE to E-NE dragging in colder air. rain and sleet here with some snow in the heavier bursts. :(

8.8 degrees in Galway, sun is shining, partly cloudy. Was about 7.5C about an hour or so ago.

    Ah snap!

Getting a touch of change-over from rain to grapple to sleet to snow here in Rathfarnhm.

A wintery mix that's still mostly rain.

    But encouraging!

What stop is this slow snow train from Scotland at now? It's not heading south westerly is it?

Well if it's only sleet at Roundwood then low levels simply don't have a hope in hell today.
More rain than sleet is my latest update.

Very wet sleet, practically all rain now in Dublin City centre. It's right on the verge though, just a tiny bit colder and it would/will be snow.
