A summary of my thoughts for Sunday night/Monday. Might be a failure of a forecast but sure. NOTE, RED AREA FOR ABOVE 300m

Where did you get map?! Weird county boundaries!

Development in the north Irish Sea looking at the latest ME radar? Wind direction just about ok at the moment for the Dundalk area. Wrong wind direction plus Mournes/Cooley snowshield kept us out of the Dec 2010 streamer events.

    M2 Buoy 1pm: temp 3.3, DP -1.1

DP at midday was -0.3. Nice drop.
If there was a buoy 30kms off the coast of Arklow though,Its Dp would be above zero.
Dp here 2 miles from the sea is nearly 1c

oh we didn't get that far actually, we got as far as glenmacnass.
Plenty snow there. There were a group in the glenmalure lodge who had hiked from glendalough who spoke about the waist deep snow there.
Twas night time so only took 2 photos which don't do it justice.

Interesting. DP for Phoenix Park from the 1pm ME reports is -0.37. While according to the live update from the Irish Weather Network home page it's -1.2.

People in county Down, Louth and Cavan are in with a chance. Not sure there will be much south of a line from Drogheda but we shall see what happens.

I sense some IMBY negativity here! But whatever happens, 1) the showers look light 2) the temperature is still apparently a little too high.

    Currently 2.0c outside here.
