Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

iPhone 5 rattle

My iPhone 5 has developed a very noticeable rattle. It appears to be coming from the top end of the phone. I don't think it's any of the buttons as it can be heard when all of them are pushed in. When the phone vibrates it makes a loud buzzing noise, to the point where it's audible over the ringtone.

Im going to get on to AppleCare whenever I get a spare 30 mins but I just wanted to see if anyone has had this problem?

I have it and a mate has it..
when you flick the top back of the case with your finger you hear it. I don't take heed of it when it's ringing but must keep an eye out,...let me know what apple say.

update: he just received a replacement one for his wifi issue (random disconnects) and the new one has the rattle as well.

I believe that's the camera lens.

I believe that's the camera lens.

you could be right..holding the camera lenses stops it..while holding it elsewhere still rattles.

    That sounds exactly like mine.

However, I don't think it's the camera lens. I held it down there and flicked the back of the phone and it's still the same.

I did some Googling over lunch and it seems to be a common enough occourance on some of the Apple forums.

This is my third 5, the first two having been replaced due to faulty receivers. Neither of those handsets has this rattle problem. The build quality of the 5 leaves a lot to be desired IMO:(

Its the camera lens. It was the same on the 4 and the 4S i believe.

i brought my 5 back for this issue and was told that every new iphone 5 does it, and he told me to go down and try all the display models they all do it! he said the it is the vibrate motor is slightly looser than on the 4/4s! nothing to worry about
