Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Non-dewy foundation for dry skin?

A friend asked me to recommend her a foundation. She has dry skin (not very dry but more like normal to dry). She also said she doesn't like dewy finish. I don't have much experience with foundations for dry skin so I need boards wisdom ;)

Revlon Colourstay is a good budget version or check out the Lancome foundations

I have the combination-oily skin version of the Colourstay. How does the dry skin version compares to that?

I think it's awful for dry skin personally, it's so hard to blend that you have to buff it in loads the can cause all these dry flakey areas.
Estée Lauder double wear is one of the only long lasting foundations that doesn't iterate my dry skin, but it gives me really bad acne!
If you want to go high end I think your best getting back sample at a counter and trying it out. Rimmle and bourjois have some really nice offerings too (wouldn't recommend the lasting perfection by rimmle though if she has dry skin)

+ 1 for Revlon Colourstay - fantastic on my skin, which is super dry, and doesn't end up patchy at the end of the day like some foundations. It does take a few minutes to set but once it's on it isn't going anywhere for the day!

Bourjois Healthy Mix is good too, not a matte as Colourstay but doesn't give the "dewy glow" that lots of foundations give.

It is interesting to see that Healthy Mix works for dry skin too. It is one of my favourite bases!
