Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Advice on starting a beauty blog?

    I know there are a couple of bloggers on here, and I would really like to start my own. I am very enthusiastic about make up and nail polishes, and I am always trying new things and buying new products so why not. What is the best site to start a blog?

    I'm hosted by blogger and find it great, Wordpress is another one but it's too expensive for me to run for what I want. If you only want the free option then either are good. Tumblr is another one people use but I wouldn't recommend it.

    I started on wordpress.com it's great for free blogs but the majority of girls use blogger:)

    I use Blogger also and I think it is very reliable, easy to navigate (and I am a bit of a technological failure!)

    As for tips. just be honest and true to yourself and that will shine through- I read many blogs where girls are completely inconsistent, slate a product but then say they would repurchase etc. Honesty is best policy and it starts off by being honest with yourself.

    I personally like informative posts, good pictures, and I like it when bloggers inject a bit of themselves into their blogs and let their personalities shine through (without telling me what they had for breakfast on any given day!) Hope that makes sense!
