DUAL BETFAIR 600 HERO KINGO IS RETIRED
    18/01/2013
We have heard from Jim Kingston, a leading member of the Del-King Syndicate, that the brilliant tracker Kingo has been retired to stud.
Said Jim: “Kingo has hung up his boots after an illustrious racing career and he is now standing at the Frightful Flash Kennels in Portlaoise”.
Greyhound followers will need no introduction to Kingo which was only the second dog ever to win the Betfair 600/ Hegarty Bookmakers 600 in successive years, emulating the great Ballybeg Prim.
Kingo was a member of the great Kinloch Brae/ Razldazl Pearl litter which also included the likes of Derby hero Razldazl George, Razldazl Jayfkay and Razldazl Barack.
But Kingo became a star in his own right with his brilliant double in Shelbourne’s big 600 yard feature, while he also won the Liam Brussels Memorial at Mullingar, ran up the Irish Cesarewitch, was 3rd in the Easter Cup, was a finalist in the Champion Stakes and St Leger and was also a quarter finalist in the Irish Derby.
He will be a strong addition to the team at the famed Dunne stud.
