Can anyone help answer my question, Ive spent an hour searching through the forum, and online, but not sure if this is right:

I can only work up to 15 hours outside of the home, but all income will be means tested....So i take it that the extra E30 from the job, will be taken from the carers allowance the week after?:confused:

    Thank you..:(

€332.50 of your weekly income is not taken into account (or disregarded). If you are married, in a civil partnership or cohabiting the first €665 of your combined weekly income is disregarded.
So, you can go ahead and work for your 15 hours and unless your household income is inexcess of whichever of these figures applies to you, the your carers will not be affected.

Thank you very much for your reply, I did see that somewhere, but can't believe that they won't take a deduction, once your earning anything at all:eek:

Im going to try and see what happens. Im a single parent, trying to make ends meet. Just want to get back to work, as Im cracking up at home and have some spare time, with the kids in school! So part time suits fine, as long as they dont start deducting the lousy E36 extra I get:( Cause if they decide to cut the carers allowance - its not worth trying to go back to work then is it.......:(
