Hi,have never driven in the states before and am wondering what driving is like in Richmond? Are we talking multilane highways etc?

No worse than most mid-sized US cities.....I-295 (the interstate bypassing the city) is up to 4 lanes at times, the rest of the interstates into and near the city are 2 or 3 lanes.
