I am using windows live mail on both my laptop with windows 7 operating system and my desktop using xp pro.

Downloading emails on the laptop are very slow and more annoyingly, the horizontal default position is 3 lines above the bottom on the inbox viewing pane hiding the last 3 emails. In order to view these, I have to scrool down manually to see these but I have to wait an age before I can do this. However, on my desktop which uses xp pro, the scroll bar defaults to the bottom allowing me to see the last email received. In the case of the downloading time, its very quick on the desktop.

I have been trying to Google a fix for this and can't find any.

    Hope someone here can help.

Can you turn off the viewing pane?

If it were me I would get thunderbird. i put it on my win 7 computer as i do not like live mail at all. I realise that may not be much good to you
