    Copa Libertadores 22.45 start

    Libertad - Sporting Cristal

    Libertad HT/FT @2.14

Libertad played 2 at home in their league, won 2, both leading at HT
Sporting Cristal 2 away in their league, lost 2 both losing at HT

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,256 ✭✭✭FlawedGenius

Spurs Inter over 10 corners 1/1

Bale and Lennon nipping down the wings
Should be plenty of corners imo

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,194 ✭✭✭FatRat

Gone for Libertad and a Draw in the tigre game double at around 3/1.

The teams seem relatively evenlyatched but i don't trust tigre to win and Palmeiras have drawn 4 of their last 5 away games.

Gone for Libertad ht/ft 11/10 and over 1.5 first half goals at 9/4

So then....all onboard the Bale train?

    5/4 anytime on PP.
Let's go the wincast at 7/4 has come in for 5 of Spur's last 6 (the one game it didn't was the one they didn't need to win) and if you factor in Inter's poor away form

Going for broke on Celtic +3.5 corners, sacked paddy power on Sunday and joined Bet365, €10 bonus is up at €240 after Madrid win last night, think Celtic are gonna go all out tonight so 4 corners looks like a cracking bet.

    €240 returns €399

    Well that went well!

Onwards and upwards though, thinking of a treble tomorrow of spurs, Chelsea and Benfica, any opinions?

Almost 5/1, pp. bet365 can go f themselves!

Edit: just seen paddy have enhanced the price to 5/1 for the treble, which is reason enough to stay away from it

Wait for team news but if he starts
    Steaua Bucharest v Chelsea

I like the look of Oscar to score anytime at 10/3. There is no doubting this lad has excellent ability but while he hasn't set the Premier League alight as yet he has been excellent in European competition where he has more time and there's less of the hustle and bustle of the English League. This can be reflected in his goal scoring, where he has just a solitary goal in the league in 25 appearances, he has been prolific in Europe netting 6 times in just 8 appearances including the last away league against Sparta Prague where he got the only goal.

I don't trust Chelsea away. Steaua knocked out Ajax last round and I'd say Chelsea would take a draw. I think Viktoria Plzen are a far better one to stick in at 11/10. Destroyed Napoli last round and have won all their home games in the EL

I think Plzen look a great shout here, Fenerbahce missing 2 of the centre mids too.

    Well, that was ****.

The other 5 matches i had selected for goals were equally disappointing.

Still have faith in Atletico Mineiro giving The Strongest a pasting though.
But in stead of going for them to score over 3,5 @2.75 i ll be taking

Correct score: Any other score on marathon @3.2 (iirc, much better than 2.75 in any case)
More or less needs the same amount of goals from Mineire since any other score means one of the teams needs to score 4.
So better odds and the outside chance of The Strongest bringing it home.

I've gone for Under 2.5 in Benfica vs Bordeaux @ 1.83

Bordeaux are the kings of defensive football, they'll most likely play with 5 at the back tonight like they often do in big games. They usually do well away from home vs big teams:
    0-0 vs PSG
    2-0 win vs Lyon
1-0 win vs Nice (who are very strong at home)
    1-1 vs Dynamo Kiev
They're not doing too well in the league atm cuz they're focusing entirely on the Europa League and the French Cup.

Was thinking of going with Bordeaux double chance or a draw on that one Lass. Reinforces my thoughts even more. I've found the Europa league to be very good for draws.

Plzen and Benfica double tonight. Plzen slaughtered Napoli in the last round and came top in the Atletico group.

Only on Bale Anytime tonight @ 2.25

    Reasoning: He's Garath Bale
He knows how to play against Inter (Warning: Coldplay)

Any Northern Irish footy followers here?

Big drop in odds on Glenavon (from ~5.00 to ~3.50) while the odds on Portadown are rising, is there anything that could explain this? The game's been pulled from William Hill...

Going to get on Bale anytime tonight in a couple of doubles. Have avoided him on his recent amazing streak for no real reason other than the fear that when I back him he's going to stop...so sorry in advance...

    anyway done 2 doubles
bale anytime with spurs over 6.5 corners at 5/2 and
bale anytime with over 12 corners at just under 5/1

undecided on whether to back anything else in this match...the corners market been really good to me in the past month and the over 12 at 11/5 or thereabouts is very tempting for an outright bet...but first legs can be cagey though with neither team wanting to concede and alot of the game being played out in the middle

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,862 ✭✭✭✭inforfun

    Spurs - Arsenal

    4 Corner kicks 6

    Just saying.

Cheers info, I actually gave back most of my winnings last night on those Copa games...Mineiro might recoup some tonight though;)

To be fair though Spurs weren't really at the races in that game and caught Arsenal on the hop twice in quick succession. Arsenal are always going to dominate possession and aren't great for corners over betting.

Think tonight will be different but maybe I'll leave it at my two doubles.

Thing with those corners is that you need 1 team to be much stronger or 1 team chasing.
Dont think Spurs will be that much stronger than Inter and there is nothing to chase yet.

Valencia last night was a good example of a team you knew beforehand they had to attack/chase and also knew they are always good for a few corners.

Will go for Bale anytime and Spurs win @ 5/2 with William Hill

Also bale 1st goal and spurs 2-1 @ 33/1 for a bit of interest

Lets hope he continues his fine form!

  • Registered Users Posts: 454 ✭✭GK1001

Yeah but I have the United Real first leg in recent memory and my corners bets were up at HT. Neither team hugely stronger than the other and neither chasing. An early away goal would be nice to see.

Out of interest do you have the stats from back in 2010 from their two CL meetings? My memory is not the best but I don't see much difference in either teams playing styles since then and AVB definitely wants to win this trophy

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,939 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

    bale anytime 5/4
    bale first 9/2

I'd rather put my faith in bale scoring that spurs winning
seem awful skinny odds on the spurs win to me
the wincast was 11/4 v arse and it was only 2s earlier for tonite

I wonder how Spurs will approach this game. They are going to Liverpool on Sunday in the hope to cement their hold on 4th place. Be interesting to see if they go all out in this game tonight

    Willian anytime 11/4

    Viktoria "Europa League" Plzen

Right, Plzen play Fenerbahce at home tonight in the europa league. Just to sum up what Plzen are about, they have played 9 home games in the europa league ever (according to soccerway anyway) ... They drew their first two (Besiktas 2010 and Schalke 2012) But since that they've won all of their last 7 home games, keeping clean sheets in 6 of them. Not even taking Fenerbahce into consideration because this is an outrageous stat for any team to have. Their past 3 home games in the europa league have been Napoli, Atletico Madrid and Hapoel Tel Aviv.... hardly easy opponents, they won 2-0, 1-0 and 4-0 respectively. These are some of the best stats I've ever seen to be honest, so I think they're an absolute shoe-in.

Viktoria Plzen to win @ Evens

Viktoria Plzen to win to nil @ 11/5

For those a bit skeptical, 0-0 wouldn't be a bad cover bet @ 7/1. A very good cover bet actually!

Took a bigger stake on the Enchanced Bale Wincast. :)

In the league Inter average 4.3 corners away and 5.2 against

Based on the above i'm taking Inter over 3 corners @ 4/5

And Gallas anytime @ 13/1 (free bet from the Utd Game :))

Spurs team to play Inter: Friedel, Walker, Vertonghen, Gallas, Assou-Ekotto, Dembele, Parker, Lennon, Sigurdsson, Bale, Defoe

Gotta fancy Tottenham over 6 corners 6/5 with that line up
