Home cook marmalade jam kit convert to wine?

Just staring at a 1 lb. ' homecook' jam kit tin that I was going to make jam with and am toying with the idea of going for some type of orangey wine instead...(the tins ingredients just lists "seville oranges" only) Found this recipe on this site (which has a good index for other wine recipes BTw)...…

Just wondering what peoples' thoughts are before I go ahead as its a good 8 months commitment?
(I'm used to turbo ciders and beer kits which disappear after about 4 months)

Never done a wine before either..
