Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This could be 5-0 to Chelsea, 5-0 to Arsenal or nil all, two extremely unpredictable teams.

I'm going to back an Arsenal away win

ESPN reporting that Podolski is out injured.

Hoping Arsenal can get something out of this. No better time to be playing Chelsea.

    come on arsenal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,570 ✭✭✭✭Frisbee

I just hope Giroud starts up top and not Walcott. He's signed the contract, the campaign to buy his signature by playing him up front and letting him take every free kick and corner should be done.

As someone has said already these matches can throw up some mental scores so hard to predicte but I'm goina go for an Arsenal win.

Hopefully we see jack playing further up the pitch like against Swansea. He was brilliant there

We can get a result today for sure. We need to focus for the entire game and we need discipline. No silly fouling and no cheap frees as they can punish us.

Our full-backs played well against Swansea and Diaby should now be fit and perform the way we know he can. I hope we don't sit back as we are better when carrying the fight.

Expecting a big performance out of Chelsea, hopefully Terry starts and Luiz plays in midfield.

    3-1 to Chelsea

Will be interesting how much of this changes today? Wouldn't at all be surprised to see him out right with no free or corner taking

Maybe i'm wrong but find it very hard to see anything but a Chelsea win ,,
    2-0 or 3-1 .

I hope so, he's awful at them. No more need to massage his ego.

@chelseafc: Team: Cech; Azpili, Ivan, Cahill, Cole; Ram, Lamps (c); Oscar, Mata, Hazard; Torres. - subs: Turn, Fer, JT, Bert, Ake, Marin, Ba.

@F8Piraux: Arsenal team v Chelsea: Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Coquelin, Wilshere, Walcott, Diaby, Cazorla, Giroud #AFC #CFC

    4 defenders on the bench?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,224 ✭✭✭✭Marty McFly

Subs: Mannone, Koscielny, Jenkinson, Santos, Frimpong, Ramsey, Arshavin

Arsenal bench, serious lack of attacking options there due to injuries but does highlight Arsenal need for some quality signings.

    3-1 arsenal

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,808 ✭✭✭Caveman1

No David Luiz, supposedly has a niggle, very surprised Torres is starting ahead of Ba, hopefully Nando can justify his selection.

Really hoping Chelsea can win but most liking playing with 10 men until the 80 min when Ba replaces Torres.
Hope Im wrong and Torres might score or do something good

We'll need the defensive options for the last twenty when we are closing up shop to hold onto the 2 goal lead........,

Torres starting?? Might be some value in arsenal or the draw in this one...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,500 ✭✭✭Drexel

No Luiz is a massive plus for Arsenal I think. He has been great in midfield.

Chelsea at home terrible, Arsenal away underwhelming. 1-1 Draw.

No Ba & no Terry spells disaster for Chelsea IMO :(

no chance of a nil nil with these two defences/attacks.

    4-1 the mighty blues.

    Torres hat-trick.

No Luiz and the anti striker (as I've seen him be called elsewhere) starting, my optimism has lessened considerably.

This could go either way. But my heart is ruling my head and I say it'll be 2-1 to Chelsea........ Ashley to celebrate his new contract with the winner. :D

Glad to Giroud starting up front and hopefully he can get some decent service today from crosses.

Torres playing centre half instead of Luiz?...........he might as well for all the use he is at the other end.

Fecking Rafa is trying to ruin my FF weekend.

2-0 Chelsea. That Arsenal side doesn't inspire confidence in me.

I thought I'd be happy with a draw earlier. I've changed my mind. Gunners to win 3-1!

Maybe Torres will be like the opposite of Samson; he'll gain great strength and form by cutting his hair!!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,333 ✭✭✭bad2dabone

Torres doesn't like the weather. Giroud is from Grenoble - he's used to snow. Arsenal to win. Based on temperature :D
