Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So many weak links out there and then ya look at the bench and there's 3 defenders. Absolutely pathetic.

Arsenal giving the ball away cheaply too often. Passing leaving a lot to be desired.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,393 ✭✭✭Ed Winchester

Could easily have been punished there. Very poor from Vermaelen.

Don't get carried away. Giroud could have put you 1-0 up a minute before they scored.

Some refs might have shown Ramires red for that challenge in the lead up to the goal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,174 ✭✭✭Sergio

For fcuk sake Arsenal giving the ball away far too easily in midfield!

Coquelin and Diaby have no business being out there, each for different reasons, and we have basically no options off the bench. It's a disgrace to be perfectly honest.

Clear penalty in fairness, turning into a disaster now.

Surprised Ramires took so long with that.

    Should have walked for that.

Turned over again in the middle of the park. Chelsea out of the traps strongly here.

Penalty... Clumsy and desperate by Szchesny (or however you spell it)

"Manufactured the contact" I think is the phrase for that. :pac:

He's not awful but he's not good enough for where Arsenal are supposedly aiming to be.

I think Ramires slips there....not sure there is any contact by the keeper?
Looks like his (Ramires) right foot slips into keeper as he tries to go around him...

Like last week all over again, still feel we can come back

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,456 ✭✭✭wonga77

always going to be a pen. yellow was correct though

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,906 ✭✭✭✭PhlegmyMoses

The ref bottled that, I reckon. He had made the angle to have a shot on an open goal. Red imo.

Also Lampard, feck off taking the pens. Let Mata have one, for FF purposes :)

We have to keep the tempo up.

    How do you figure that?

Coquelin isn't that good and Diaby always has to take an extra touch, not ideal when the opposition is pressing like they are. Just look at how Chelsea are going through them, they may as well not be there.

And what's going to happen now is Wilshere is going to run himself into the ground yet again for no reason. Ridiculous.

    Stupid from Diaby.

    Great game so far.

No not a red imo. Pen all day long but didn't bring him down deliberately.

In order to make sure there was contact he pretty much gave up the chance at a shot tbh.

it was kinda clumsy by both imo

Coquelin is doing well. He's not the problem. To say its a disgrace he's on the pitch is way OTT.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,419 ✭✭✭born2bwild

Niall Quinn is ruining this for me. Stop talking. Please.

Were looking dangerous everytime we have the ball.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,435 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

When Ramires was fouled Sagna was on the half-way line ???
Too many weak players giving the ball away.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,533 ✭✭✭Colonialboy

Arsenal had two defenders behind Woj.. so a yellow card is right.

Goal was the fault of Mertesacker, fed up with him playing passes to midfielders with an opponent up their arse .. the ball to diaby was never on, cant he lift the ball over midfield to feet of the forwards.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,493 ✭✭✭DazMarz

Another corner ballooned into Cech's hands.

I'm not blaming him for it. If Wenger picked me to play out there it would be a disgrace.

"Punch 'im in the face!" :pac:

3 corners into the keepers hands. 3 out of 3.

With tacking like Ramirez you're even more dangerous without it.
