Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Only thing more embarrassing than the pathetic openning 20 mins is Wenger stupidity in still having Walcott taking corners 3 in a row to the keepers hand.

Another corner ballooned into Cech's hands.

The corners are a joke, may as well just give Chelsea the goal kick from here on out. More chance of it reaching an Arsenal player then.

Chelsea are looking lethal at the moment we're not able to deal with at all when they attack this could end very badly if we don't get a foothold soon

Arsenal had two defenders behind Woj.. so a yellow card is right.

Goal was the fault of Mertesacker, fed up with him playing passes to midfielders with an opponent up their arse .. the ball to diaby was never on, cant he lift the ball over midfield to feet of the forwards.
The fact the goalkeeper was effectively out of the game makes it a clear goal scoring chance for me. You would fancy the forward to beat 2 defenders 9 times out of 10. Unless it was Torres, then a yellow would be sufficient.

"Only completed the double once over Arsenal; in the second of José Mourinho's title-winning seasons".

Nope; did it in the 09/10 Season too. 2-0 in the Bridge and 0-3 in the Emirates.

Has to be the last man for a straight red though.

No it doesn't. Just have to deny a clear goal scoring opportunity.

    Pathetic no closing down

I've had to turn down the volume on the tv and listen to the commentary on the radio.

    Quinn gets worse every week.

It doesn't. Denying a clear goal scoring opportunity will get you a red too.

Chelsea are absolutely dominating, need to keep hold of the ball

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,174 ✭✭✭Sergio

We cant even string 2 passes together without giving away the ball. Were absolutely shocking!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,435 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

Sagna and Coq need to be replaced asap. Coq is not up to that standard yet and Sagna is fast asleep.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,399 ✭✭✭✭Thanx 4 The Fish

Even with Chelsea being so dominant and having the ball this much, Torres looks dreadful.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,333 ✭✭✭bad2dabone

Chelsea are being allowed to play and with lads like Mata and Hazard on their team they're going to tear us a new one.

    I'm sad :(

That rule doesn't exist. It's if he denies the player a clear goalscoring opportunity which he did. It was mostly definitely a red. The ref messed up.

Think I saw Vermaelen patting Torres on the back.

"Don't worry, man. I think you're awesome."

Anyone else get the feeling it isnt safe for Chelsea unless we are 4 up

With Ivanovic making near balls-ups like that... Jeez. Only for Cech being so alert and being so far advanced, that could have been ugly.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,516 ✭✭✭jonneymendoza

Ramirez fell over. It wasn't as if shez stuck a leg or arm out

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,500 ✭✭✭Drexel

I think Ramsey needs to come on at half time. Take either Coq or Diaby off. Diaby isnt fit and Coq isnt good enough to hold em on his own. Because of all this Wilshere is out of the game

Weren't there two Arsenal defenders between Ramires and the goal? Also Ramires touch was taking him away from the goal. He would have had to turn while shooting. It wasn't exactly a clear opportunity.

[edit] Also Arsenal, what a shadow of their former selves.

He did stick his leg out?

As soon as I give out about him, he makes a great interception like that!!!

Sagna has to do better there, has been terrible lately Jenkinson needs to be starting more games.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,211 ✭✭✭Owen_S

I remember when Sagna was the best right-back in the league, looks like a totally different player now.

Thats the trouble with "a clear goalscoring opportunity" being the rule. Its entirely subjective as to what one actually is.

No it doesn't. Just have to deny a clear goal scoring opportunity.
It wasn't a clear goal scoring opportunity 2 defenders there. Yellow was correct.

I was just correcting someone who said that he had to be last man. I don't care if it was a red or not.

Is Wenger blind or delusional or does he just not see the weaknesses?
Maybe he's waiting until we are 3 down to change things.
    This is bloody awful.

Waiting on Sanga to get back there to help Coq out. No sign of him. He is strolling. Shocking stuff

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,118 ✭✭✭✭Quazzie

Sagna never clears the first man with his crosses. He has been dire this year, and Jenkinson should be 100% ahead of him. If this isn't just form and is permanent after his return from injury then I don't want him signing a new contract.

In fairness at one stage Sagna was the best RB in the league hes a shadow of that player these days though.

Take him off. Give Jenks a run. He clearly doesn't fancy it.

2 defenders that can't handle it. He was shooting, it's not as if he had to dribble past them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,084 ✭✭✭✭Kirby

He was rated highly by some.....never by me. Vastly over-rated.

Sagna praying for a "beam me up Scotty" moment.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,984 ✭✭✭Soups123

Awful from Sagna could have been costly, probably looking for an out
