Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Torres would have been ripped to shreds for not burying that!

Torres would have fell over the ball before the arsenal keeper came out.

Cashley finally being called for a foul

    Cole should see yellow there.

You'd think someone at Sky would tell Niall how to say Vermaelens name.

    Fur Mayan! :p

Cole has committed a lot of fouls today, should be off by now IMO.

Yellow on its own so he gets nothing for the other 72, hate that.

Terrible tackle from Cole, very lucky there

That could have been claimed as denying a goalscoring opportunity there by Cole, lucky to only get a yellow.

Fantastic foul by Cole there, very smart.

Cole hasn't the brainpower to intentionally do something smart.

    3-1 coming up.

Play it out now... last few minutes. Jesus... Smart free kick, the intelligent ball needed here.

He did Cheryl Cole, that was pretty smart.

Ba couldn't score there and that was only one defender ;)
    That closes the arguement nicely

Where did they get 5 minutes from?

Marin really looks like a twelve year old playing for Chelsea.

    The clock

Niall Quinn, you nipple. Naming Ramires MOTM.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,984 ✭✭✭Soups123

That looked like an under 9s game in the corner with Marin and Arshavin

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,572 ✭✭✭TheGunns

Nice one, giving MOTM to someone who has been fouling all day and then the dive

I've met Niall Quinn a few times, and he is a lovely man, but he is an awful bellend of a commentator

Supreme from Gary Cahill. Brilliant challenge

It's hard to beat the referee. When he's against you, then you've no hope.

Hopefully United can get the win against Spurs, Arsenal badly need them to

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,493 ✭✭✭DazMarz

Well... Thank fúcking god for that... Jesus. I said 2-1 before the start, but didn't think it would be that nervy at all!

Proper Jekyll and Hyde shít from Chelsea again.

Great game. If Arsenal had a bit more up front I would have fancied them to go on and win it. Chelsea were very poor second half.
In saying that, if Ba started it could have been well over at half time.
Torres will be Rafas downfall if he persists with him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,500 ✭✭✭Fuzzy_Dunlop

Here's a novel idea. How about we start playing in the first half next time.

Well done chelsea, got a few decisions there was but were much better in the first half and could have had more. Poor mostly from Arsenal. Signings badly needed.

First half great, second half resilient. I'd probably go for Ramires as MOTM too. Ba probably should have scored when he came on but he was certainly a handful. Some top defensive performances from the whole back four and Cech with Mata, Oscar and Hazard all putting in great first half performances.

All in all I thought we deserved the win.

  • Site Banned Posts: 2,719 ✭✭✭DB10

Very poor. If we dont get much needed quality in we wont get 4th end of story. Chelsea didnt impress me but they'll comfortably finish 3rd.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,493 ✭✭✭DazMarz

Ba just proved that he should start ahead of Torres a lot more, just proved that even if he doesn't start, he should be brought on a lot earlier. He was a handful for the Arsenal defence and he should have had a goal.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,808 ✭✭✭Caveman1

Fantastic result there, Ramires was immense today as was Cole, the 2nd half we were under a lot of pressure, the players will take a lot of confidence from that game.

Never thought I'd say it but let's hope United win next.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,200 ✭✭✭Garzorico

Much needed win there. Super Frankie Lampard. Great performance from him today.

Big win for Chelsea , nervy second half .

Ref had a poor game , Oscar clear penalty in the 2nd minute , remeries foul for the Chelsea goal and arsenal keeper had to be sent off when he brought down rameires
