    Who has been and how environmentally superior is it to the forests we have here, which are nice.

    Do you mean The Black Forest or Schwartzwald in the South West of Germany? If so, then the differences are immence. The Black Forest is a region as opposed to a forest. Yes, there are hundreds of thousands of acres of forest there. But there is also a large population of people who live in the towns and villages throughout the region. There are loads of areas of farmland in the region which does not have tree cover.

    Environmentally superior is a broad term, but there is no doubt that because of the amount of land which is under forest in the Schwarzwald, the environment is better off and the ecology of the area is far broader.
