Can anybody recommend a good (private) speech therapist for a 2 and a half year-old child in South West Dublin?

He old has only a few words (da-da, mama, bye, nana, look) and most of his communication is through enthusiastic gobbledy-gook :)

His comprehension appears to fine: he can follow instructions and point out a lot of different objects in pictures when asked , etc.

We're sick and tired of the waiting list for the HSE.

To show how bad it, we waited so long for an appointment for our eldest boy (now 4 and a half) that by the time the appointment actually bloody came he was speaking perfectly.

    /rant

Anyway, we don't really want to wait again just to be sure so if anybody could recommend a private speech therapist that would be brilliant.

    Thanks all.

    Have you looked at www.iasltpp.com?
You can search here for speech therapists working privately in Ireland.

Hi I happened to come across your post while looking for a speech therapist for my two & half your old and wondered what speech therapist you ended up attending?
