Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Saw this on Reddit and thought it was nice:

In fairness to the club, they do things like this very well.

From reading the comments it appears it was initiated by a Steward at the club.

Embarrassing but you can only blame our socialist wage structure. He'll be here until his contract runs out, just like Squillaci and Arshavin :(

We might end up needing him this season the way things are going...

At this stage I think the best thing for all parties would be for Bendtner to transfer to the MLS or one of the more affluent Middle Eastern leagues. This way he'd get the wages and recognition he feels he deserves while playing at a level in which he will excel.

MARCA reporting that Contreao and Higuain are training away from the team and that we have made a €50m bid for Suarez?

    http://www.marca.com/2013/07/11/en/football/real_madrid/1373524413.html

Interestingly, that story is only on the English version of MARCA. Maybe they're just toying with us.

Why would it freak you out? We have all summer to work through the Wenger war chest :P

The only thing that should freak people out is Bendtner in an Aresnal jersey this coming season.

I know we have time but.....i just want some incoming movement! and not Bendtner as a "like a new signing!"
    :)

Every Arsenal game between now and December, with the exception of Norwich at home, is on live on either Sky BT or Setanta.

    Good news.

Major hole in mo phoca though.

That's shiite news, I already pay stupid money for sky every month and Setanta I've heard are going to want 22 euro a month for subscription. Which would take my bill to 129 a month fcuk you Setanta.

Oh and Bendtner why wont he just fcuk off.

Agreed, united seem to be having a similar time of it with the whole Thiago fiasco in particular. Looked a done deal at one point.

Usual stuff for us. Not to worry, we will probably raid Bolton for a young center back or the like.

I won't be subscribing to BT or Setanta, paying too much for Sky as it is.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,118 ✭✭✭✭Quazzie

The best thing about the games being on Setanta means that there will be good "recipes" online.

I won't be paying them shysters a cent.

Also I rang up Sky to cancel Sky Sports from my package as it was the summer and they offered me half price Sky Sports for 6 months. Worth doing for everyone.

Fair play nice work, with upc though so doubt they will do anything!

The difference is that they finished 19 points ahead of us last season.
We have more need to buy players.

That's even better. I'm out in sticks with no alternative to Sky, and they know that too. I rang up telling them I wanted to cancel because I was moving to a better UPC package. They called my bluff and told me they knew I couldn't get UPC.

I had to ring back a few hours later and cancel the cancellation. That was an embarrassing phone call. :o

If I could get UPC I'd never pay full Sky. A fella in work does it. Rings up periodically every six months and says he's moving to UPC and they give him three months half price for everything. I don't know if UPC are they same but it's worth a try.

Sorry for the Off topic posts.

Back on-topic. I really hope it's not another long summer of frustration and we start the season with a smaller squad than we finished last year. With Wenger in Asia you'd have to wonder how will anybody sign, unless he left a list for the board to get and is leaving everything up to them.

This made me laugh out loud, an extract from Anelka's autobiography and the reason he had to leave Arsenal

I do this every january and get a year long reduction ( the equivalent of 6 months half price spread over 12 months) and this year they threw in HD

How about telling them next time that you've found an online provider for all your sports watching needs?

Yeh but aren't the EU trying to block recipes at the moment? I read somewhere it could be in by this season.

Jammy fcuker I done that last summer my bill went down about 5 euro because soon I cancelled Sports everything else went to full pric such as movies robbing bastards but im so used to SKY+HD don't think I could do without.

United fans very upset about missing out on Thiago - have to say i'm relieved. He's a quality player and would have run amok with them.

Bit early still but any of you gents fancy getting together to watch next season's games in Dublin city centre?

Could setup a group here on boards if there's any interest. Would be good to get a regular crowd going.

    Meh what bout Higuain :/

Its not even if we dont sign anyone but what would piss me off more than anything is the fact Gazidis has bragged about us being able to compete with the elite and having the capability of being able to afford Rooney but still no white smoke of note from the Emirates

  • Registered Users Posts: 822 ✭✭✭Pudders

Evening standard implies no huigain, Fellani or Cesar but higher bid for suarez. Becoming like spurs a few years ago, rumoured to be bidding on everyone, get no one.

I have this dream that you bag Suarez for 45 or 50 million, Liverpool make Real an offer late and sign Higuain for about 25m and 130k a week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,224 ✭✭✭✭Marty McFly

Trying so hard not to get frustrated by the lack of activity.

But if Gazidis was all talk and we have made no improvements on players shiit will well and truly hit the fan, there can be no more excuses.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,428 ✭✭✭.jacksparrow.

Why can't we just cough up the 30 million for higuan we ain't gonna get Suarez, is Wenger and gazidis loosing the plot altogether, how can we let higuan just slip away.

Whats going on lads looks like nothing is gonna happen for us in the transfer market until after the tour, why wait till its finished would it not make sense to get all our dealings done early and give them that extra bit of time to settle in before the start of the season? Ill lose the plot if we dont get Higuain!!!!
