Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Shiiit the game is on Tuesday night? Haven't checked yet but was hoping Wednesday night aswell working Sunday, Monday and Tuesday night then off for the rest of the week Wednesday would be perfect first day off with a few bottles and an Arsenal game :(.

Special guest at WHL tonight was Nayim and they introduced him by showing THAT goal. They are so obsessed with us it's hilarious! Maybe if they spent more time concentrating on themselves, they wouldn't finish behind us every year. Losers :D

On the plus side I have mentioned in the past my track record when it comes to missing live games:

    7-3 v Newcastle
    5-2 v Reading
    5-3 v Chelsea

Could be in for a few away goals.

I'd personally like quite a strong team because we have way more chance of winning the FA cup than the CL.

    Something like:

    Szcz

    Jenkinson----Mert
    Verm
    Nacho

    Diaby---Ramsey

    Santi

    Ox
    Podolski

    Giroud

[edit] Forgot Jenk is banned. Sagna so

I think wenger will put out a strong enough side maybe something like this-

    Scynzny
    Sagna
    mert
    fit defender
    Monreal
    Arteta
    Diaby
    ramsey
    chambo
    gervinho
    Giroud

something similar to the Brighton game, strong enough but a few rested

looking at the team news wilshere & koscielny are 50:50, vermaelen 90% to be able to start i think according to wenger link

    i say something like this

    Szczesny
    sagna---mert---vermaelen----monreal
    ramsey
    diaby

    rosicky
    chamberlain
    giroud
    gervinho

Good chance Bellerin is gonna start right back according to Arseblog.

    Sczc

    --Bellerin----Mert
    Miquel---Nacho--

    Diaby----Rambo

    --Ox
    Rosicky
    Gervinho

    Giroud

Bayern are live on ESPN at the minute for anyone interested.

    Sczc

    --Bellerin----Mert
    Miquel---Monreal--

    Rosicky----Yennaris

    --Ox
    Eisfeld
    Arshavin

    Gervinho

I think it's worth taking a gamble at the weekend to make sure we have as strong a squad as possible fit for Tuesday.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,572 ✭✭✭TheGunns

No way is it worth the gamble tomorrow, Wenger should play the strongest team he can. CL isn't as realistic and we will require a lot more luck to win that than the FA cup

Agree with the above statement. Also think it might be worth throwing verm out on the left if he is gonna play there on Tuesday

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,570 ✭✭✭✭Frisbee

Would rather rest Vermaelen if we could, if he gets injured we're screwed for the Bayern game.

    Geoff Arsenal ‏@GeoffArsenal
Jack is on the bench today with Lukas and Santi. Thats all folks. #COYG

Similar to last round then? As a back up plan in case things are going well

    I'd expect:

    Woj
    Sagna-Mert-Miquel-Nacho
    Rambo-Diaby
    Rosicky
    Ox-Giroud-Gervinho

Win our match today and it will give the guys a great boost for Tuesday. Love this time of year for football. We either flourish or end up in the foetal position but it always provides a great deal of fun going along for the ride.

Arsenal team: Szczesny, Coquelin, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Monreal, Diaby, Rosicky, Arteta, Gervinho, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Giroud

Subs: Mannone, Sagna, Wilshere, Podolski, Ramsey, Cazorla, Theo

Strong team. Should be enough to put Blackburn away.

Strong team and a very strong bench too.

Gervinho did much better on the left than the right whenever he's played there so hopefully he can have a good game and start showing something resembling footballing ability.

Is Mert injured? Not even on the bench.

    Rested for bayern.

    Is coq rb?

Mertesacker can only cover one position, Sagna can cover two.

Bar Monnone, I think all the subs are capable of playing in at least two positions.

Missed the whole goal from 10 yards.
How have we so much possession but only one effort on target?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,990 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Was wondering why I am the only posting in the FA Cup match thread.

Anybody else but Gervinho and we were more than likely 1 down I think. Despite all the possession Arsenal haven't threatened much but I think they will do us if it stays the same. I didn't like the diving from Gervinho and Coquelin.

Arsenal fans don't do match threads so much.

Things have a habit if going so horribly wrong that we don't like to be near supporters of other teams when they do.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,751 ✭✭✭✭AdamD

Rosicky's been poor, Jack or Cazorla on for him could be the difference.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,500 ✭✭✭Fuzzy_Dunlop

    This game STINKS.

    Oh Bentley.

    Odds on him scoring?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,336 ✭✭✭Mr.Micro

We had better do something soon or I fear Rovers to nick it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,500 ✭✭✭Fuzzy_Dunlop

    Theo and Jack coming on.

    [edit] and Santi

Great hit by Rosicky, off the bar!

Please get Gerv off. I get the whole, "He needs to play to get confidence" issue, but he should only be coming on when the game is safe and his misses won't cost us anything.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,751 ✭✭✭✭AdamD

These subs seem a bit late for me

    Nice bench to bring on.

In fairness that was a good block rather than a miss there.

Nice to see Jack, Theo and Santi coming on as subs all the same. Wouldn't like to be Blackburn looking at that speed coming on
