Didn't Geoff Arsenal say Arsenal had bid over £30 million for a player in January

If so, is probably for the best. Hope we have a chance wednesday night, at least have a go.

I just want to play a decent game and respectfully bow out and not risk any of our players. Swansea game is way more important, win that 4 behind them and 2 behind Chelsea, then we all get behind Duffer and Fulham on Sunday!

Wilshere could be gone for the season

Just saw that going around - hope it's a terrible rumour :(

Wilshere could be gone for the season

    Mother of god!!!!!!!!!

He may have done his ankle ligaments - we'll have to wait 'till tomorrow's press conference to have it confirmed/denied.

    Mother of god!!!!!!!!!

Separation anxiety already, this is scary not having him for the run in potentially.

Could this be what happens when you play a young lad just back from a long injury lay off in every single game because your squad is sh1t? Jesus fcuking Christ

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 709 ✭✭✭TheBza

A lot of pressure both club and country on him considering the length he was out.

Suppose, but shouldnt Rosicky not been played more to give him a rest, he's looked sharp from what i've seen this season.

At least wait till it's confirmed.

Thought it would have been Mannone. He's never done much wrong - or as much wrong - as the other two but Wenger doesn't seem to have any faith in him.

Have you forgotten Mannone's last CL appearance against Olympiacos?

To be fair to Stan he has sold monorails to Brockway, Ogdenville, and North Haverbrook, and by gum it put them on the map!

    "@GeoffArsenal
Jack will be out for about 2 weeks apparently. Will miss Swansea but hopefully should be back after. fingers x. Its precautionary."

    Edit: "Jeremy Wilson ‏@JWTelegraph
Jack Wilshere out for three weeks. Misses munich, swansea and england qualifiers"

    Thank f*ck for that.

Is it just me or is 7/1 a huge price for Arsenal to win on tomorrow? Not to progress, but just to win the tie.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,654 ✭✭✭jordainius

Two or three weeks wouldn't be so bad I suppose but he was initially ruled out for just one week in July 2011 and we didn't see him again for another 15 months!

I'm not suggesting he'll be out for that long a spell again, but I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be one or two months given the past history of our medical staff's estimates regarding numerous players by now!

It's the dreaded 3 weeks...

On the plus side, it's not the same ankle as the 15 month injury ankle!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,795 ✭✭✭✭AdamD

Diaby's last 3 weeks turned into 3 months and Gibbs' supposed 3 weeks in January, well, hes only back now. Great.

And Jack's 18 months out started as 3 weeks

Or it could be two weeks but Wenger doesn't want him playing in the England qualifiers so it's three weeks...

Yes hopefully he can come back fully refreshed and ready for a full assault at the end of season campaign.

Zelalem trained again with the first team today, this fella is supposed to be unreal

    Least he misses the internationals

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,382 ✭✭✭✭greendom

So Wilshere and Sagna out for Weds

Gibbs, Podolski and Diaby should all be available though

Delighted Fabianski is giving a chance back in goal, if he just calmed down in goal and composed himself I think he would be much more consistent, he always looks fidgety or in a rush anytime hes between the sticks.

Don't think I've ever felt as truly hopeless going into a CL game. Can't even picture a somewhat morale boosting win-but-not-by-enough job like Milan last year.

This has been a particularly stressful season, praying against all good sense that Sunday's result could be a sign of the wheels about to come off for Spurs. Never been less confident though. It sucks!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,795 ✭✭✭✭AdamD

I'm oddly confident about Wednesday, can see us producing our 2nd half performances but from the start as we're already at that 2 goal deficit we seem to love. Rosicky could start with Jack out and that could be a big difference. Not giving up hope just yet!

I keep hearing how well our young players are doing but they are winning nothing. Our U.21's are miles off the pace and our youth teams are not winning anything either.
Our Academy have only 5 points from 6 games too.

Never heard of this lad but hope he's good and actually makes the grade.

In fairness, most of the better players are constantly going off on loan. Still, the current crop doesn't seem that great really.

Very few coming through at the moment. Some very ordinary from what i've seen too but here's hoping we have a few "finds" soon. We could do with them.

Not really. Bayern have only conceded 10 goals so far in the league. That's unreal, no way we will put more than 3 past them and keep a clean sheet at the same time. Not even the most optimistic fan thinks we have a chance?

I would give a few fringe players a crack at this and focus on Saturday. A bit of game time would be good for them, plus they have nothing to lose. Gives them a chance to stake a claim for a starting position.

I don't no loads about him either, he have yet to play for the u18s even. But still he gets to train a bit with the first team

Ain't our next gen team in the quarters or semis or something, that still don't mean any will break through

Realisiticly if we can make some money off these kids with the odd couple breaking through every couple of years it would be a success
