Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Not as far as I know but hes been on the bench a few times lately, so hes been on the cusp of the first team meaning once again were leaving ourselves short unless someone comes in.

The timing is a bit odd as well with Arteta and Coquelin out.

Exactly leaving us incredibly short in midfield and relying on sick note Diaby to stay fit.

Frimpong was on loan at the start of the season and came back I think, needs games but I think he will be brilliant. Always looks like he wants to play for Arsenal rather than himself, really like the look of him.

Well at least it's more plausible than the cavani rumour.

Until something concrete or even anything more solid than thin air comes out, it's just as likely as a Cavani bid, ie zero chance.

There's a link for it in the usual place but we won't know for sure until a few minutes before the game

#AFC v Brighton Szczesny; Jenkinson, Kosicelny, Mertesacker, Santos; Diaby, Ramsey; Ox-C, Rosicky (c), Podolski; Walcott.

Worried about Santos, and hopefully the players who haven't played much this season ( Jenks, Rosicky in particular) won't be too rusty.

Arsenal team: Szczesny, Jenkinson, Mertesacker (c), Koscielny, Santos, Diaby, Ramsey, Rosicky, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Podolski, Giroud #BHAvAFC

    from official twitter

    Giroud only difference

Delighted to see Rosicky back. He hasn't played much in a good while so hopefully he makes it through ok. Wonder what way the midfield is lining out. Ramsey and Rosicky with Diaby more advanced?

Frimpong has had a lot of injury problems - he was at Charlton on loan and didn't look like he'd get a game with us so a time with Fulham should do him well. I think he's been more unlucky than Wenger not seeing a role for him at Arsenal - he has picked up some bad injuries in last two seasons so can't get on a roll.

Strong team out today - hopefully we can get the job done early.

Will probably be Ramsey in the holding role he played Wednesday night with Diaby and Rosicky further forward i reckon.

    Hopefully.

Played in a position that suits him will only make Ramsey a better player for us.

Edit: Some mighty fine recipes out there. Thanks lads.

    Gervinho scored again.

I wonder which football powerhouse Ivory Coast are playing this time.

    Santos is an atrocious footballer

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,382 ✭✭✭✭greendom

Santos - complete liability - got lucky there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,931 ✭✭✭patrickc

    offside but Santos yet again

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,500 ✭✭✭Fuzzy_Dunlop

    Dodged a bullet there!

Santos did well initially to win the ball and then gives it away.

    Great ball by Jenkinson there.

    Feck off Andre.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,748 ✭✭✭✭AdamD

Is he ever actually in the LB position? Jenkinson hasn't had an opposition player attack him once, there is an obvious need to change Santos but no doubt that Wenger won't.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,224 ✭✭✭✭Marty McFly

I can be critical of Gibbs at times but one things for sure if he get's injured we are well and truely up shiit creek without a paddle. Santos is a truely awful player.

Santos getting an awful going over, just turning up for the pay cheque clearly doesnt care. Pundits on Fox are ripping him a new one as they are on twitter. An awful purchase, and shouldnt be at the club only for Wenger being stubborn as usual.

I fear for us in the second half, luckily Brightons main defender is gone off so we should score if we attack with penetration.

Diaby needs to shape up also, going through the motions in midfield once again. To think he was compared to Vieira last week lol. The only likeness is the look of him and similar way he moves with his long legs.

who is that co-commentator? His voice annoys me (and his analysis)

    Oh what a goal Giroud

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,500 ✭✭✭Fuzzy_Dunlop

    Close from Podolski!

Shows why he should be on freekicks from the right hand side of the pitch.

Sounds like Don Goodman. Hes alot better than the usual anti Arsenal Trevor Francis or Tony Gale.
