I need this for my ham, to make homemade ham (for bread).

Is pickling salt is that same like curing salt? or saltpetre ?

Pickling salt will keep much longer my ham fresh, I cant find this any shop...

    Some info: http://schmidling.com/ham.htm

You could always try asking your local butcher where he gets his, or even better, if he will sell you some.

Alternatively, check out this thread in Cooking & Recipies about buying curing salt online.

I'm fairly sure saltpetre is illegal.

You need to find a proper butchery - they might sell you some or tell you who their supplier is. I was looking for casing and eventually found a supplier in Tullamore.
