    Hi,

I paid my bill via an Ulster Bank cheque on Friday 18/01.
It has still not appeared in my account?
How long will this take to clear?

    Hi Enthralled1,

Did you send the cheque directly to Electric Ireland or did you use it to make a payment at the post office/bank?

    Regards,
    Una

At a bank using the giro on the bill.

    Hi again Enthralled,

It could take three to four working days for bank processing of the payment to be completed, so it is likely you will see the payment on your online account the middle or the end of this week.

    Regards,
    Una

It generally takes 3 working days or so for payments to clear through banks. I'd expect to see the cash application on your account from Wed-Thurs onwards
