Just started this week, BBC Radio 4 Extra is letting Doctor Who take over the entire overnight schedule all this week.
What is happening is that the first hour of an audio Doctor Who story from either AudioGo (BBC Audio) or Big Finish on the normal 7th Dimension slot between 1800 and 1900 every night and then it's repeated and concluded from midnight later that night
Last night we had William Russell reading the entire Doctor Who and the Daleks novelization. The whole thing is of course on iPlayer and the good news is because it's radio you don't need any location blockers to enjoy it.
Tonight (Sunday) we get a 7th Doctor Big Finish adventure, Protect and Survive
Monday we get Fanfare For The Common Men, a relatively new release from Big Finish starring the 5th Doctor.
Tuesday we get Thousand Tiny Wings, another 7th Doctor outing from Big Finish
Wednesday its Farewell Great Macedon, an unproduced script for the 1st Doctor series which Big Finish adapted for audio in a line they call 'The Lost Stories' and have William Russell and Carole Ann Ford act out the story in a sort of audio book style.
Thursday we get Human Resources, An 8th Doctor adventure where the Doctor holds an competition in the style of 'The Apprentice' to find a new companion for himself.
Friday we come back to AudioGo for Dalek Invasion Of Earth, William Russell again reads the Target novel based on the 1st Doctor story of the same name. Dalek voices this time are provided by Nicholas Briggs
On Saturday, from 1600 to 1900 there will be a documentary called 'Who Made Who' so the next story won't air until midnight, that's another 8th Doctor story called Lucie Millar
Finally Sunday sees the conclusion to that story To the Death aired.

Hopefully you'll find something in there to your taste.

    This too shall pass.

They also have, which i havent seen yet,

    Time - 18:00 to 21:55 (3 hours and 55 minutes long).
When - Sunday 17th November on BBC Red Button 1

The Night of the Doctor. Special Episode 14.

The 50th Anniversary features Matt Smith, David Tennant and a mysterious incarnation played by John Hurt. Only one appears in the mini episode, The Night Of The Doctor. But which?
Starring: Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill

I read here that there's a 10m behind the scenes to come,

    http://www.doctorwhotv.co.uk/50th-anniversary-us-3d-cinema-screenings-54417.htm
In addition to Matt Smith, the 50th Anniversary special also stars former Time Lord David Tennant and Jenna Coleman with Billie Piper and John Hurt. The theatrical events will include specially shot introductions and The Day of The Doctor: Behind The Lens, a 10 minute
behind-the-scene featurette directly following the special**.

The short features Matt Smith, David Tennant and Jenna Coleman with Billie Piper and John Hurt, as well as lead writer and executive producer Steven Moffat, discussing their 50th Anniversary experiences.

**The U.S. in-theater exclusive, a behind-the-scenes short of over 10 minutes, will also be available in the UK on www.bbc.co.uk/Doctorwho at the same time.
I dont see it in the schedule, must be on the afterparty

    Doctor Who Live: The Afterparty
    (Entertainment)
    Time - 21:05 to 22:05 (1 hour long).
When - Saturday 23rd November on BBC 3

Zoe Ball and Rick Edwards are live, getting the party started for the ultimate celebration of 50 years of Doctor Who. With an impressive guest list of Doctors and companions both past and present, celebrity fans and some very special surprises, this is the afterparty not to be missed. As well as all the gossip on the new episode The Day of the Doctor, there are exclusive interviews, showstopping monster moments and plenty of fun.
    (Stereo, Widescreen, Subtitles)

both will be repeated the next nite on BBC 3, if you're in the cinema :P

I think it's pretty cool how little of the plot of this story has been revealed, considering were just over a week away.
Whereas several different sources have been able to leek most of the entire plot of the Xmas special.

Children in Need tonight should have a clip or a teaser for the 50th hopefully

Any links, as I'm only getting around to post today, so havent heard anything yet.

Thanks, i meant to say what was the plot on the xmas special, as the trailer for the 50th is the same one i spotted on the red button which is on repeat til bout 10pm.

Speaking of Xmas, given how close it is, and how we know it's going to be Matt Smitth's last, I presume we'll get a trailer for it at the end of Day of the Doctor. I don't recall seeing anything about filming or the production of it; perhaps with all the talk of the 50th anniversary, it slipped under the radar for people. I'd usually keep an ear out for set reports or rumours, but the internet seems oddly quiet. That's a nice change :D

    Love the NZ accent. :)
For all my previous "who is Rose exactly" stuff, I'm thinking simple(ish) is best. Bad Wolf. Yep. That old explanation. Like the nerd I am I thought I'd rewatch the old episode when she went all glow eyes first and I noticed something. The Dalek emperor when he sees her first says "this is the abomination"(only he says it like abominaaaaaatiooooon as they will :)) and the rest of them go all exterminaty at this, like there is some recognition of her from before. Secondly I only noticed(duh) that the poster for the film has the words "bad wolf" writ large. So I reckon this is what Moffat noted in the old stuff and jumped on this as a way how he brings her back, without actually bringing her back a la chavvie Rose. She is/was/will be(timey wimey) The Abomination(capital letters). One of the factors that stops the time war. This would explain her getup and her voice and her presence in the 50th.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

I've only found this on wikipedia whether its believable or not?
In August 2013, Moffat stated in an interview that the Christmas episode would tie together the remaining story strands from the Eleventh Doctor era, some of which were introduced as far back as Production on the episode was scheduled to start on 8 September. Owing to his work on the film buzz cut
In September 2013, it was revealed that the Cybermen would feature in the Christmas episode, when one of the show's regular stunt artists, Darrelle ‘Daz’ Parker, that she would be playing a Cyberman. This would make it the second time that the Cybermen have appeared in a regeneration story, following The Tenth Planet and the second time the Cybermen have appeared in a Christmas special, after The Next Doctor in 2008..

Also i found this Paul McGann interview very interesting when asked at 5.11 if he's in the 50th & admits
    he's on the anniv stamp

Funnily enough this was in 2009 & he was a bit more miffed in this
Paul McGann talks about returning to Doctor Who

Yes, he seems to talk about the original production with distain. He hated the long hours and didn't get on well with the productions staff... apparently.

I got a look at this minisode, and I kinda enjoyed it.
What with the emphasis on the Doctor's role in the Time War, it was cool to see things from the ordinary Gallifreyans perspective & that it wasn't just about high level Time Lords duking it out.

Well I read a spoiler that slightly gave away the ending of Adventure in space and time, the last week has been strictly no spoiler territory. This is like a series finale, do not read spoilers. My bloody nose is twitching though.

Zero I'd say. We've been told Matt is going till Christmas and I'd be very very surprised if they'd go back on that. Also apparently the entire Christmas special has apparently been spoiled online so I think if Matt weren't in it it would be known by now.

Cinema has the time at 19.30.

BBC is not showing until 19.50.

Pretty sure the correct cinema time is now 19.50. (Just check with your cinema first)
