Hi all,

Im trying to get the best value electricity this year and Im finding the websites airtricity and electric Ireland very confusing.

Can someone explain which is the best value rate fromelectric ireland.
My current rate airtricity is .1591 ex vat

Hi jackreacher,

At the current time, our lowest rate excl. vat for electricity is €0.1529* per unit. For gas it's €0.04674* per unit. This is with 10% off both.

You can view our price plans here, and for more detailed information, click on 'more details' section and you'll see all the unit rates, standing charges etc (incl. and excl. vat) that apply to whichever price plan you're viewing.

If you sign up online for both electricity and gas, besides getting 10% off both, you also receive €25 extra off your bill.

Hi David,
Many thanks for coming back to me so quickly. My problem is Im trying to compare like with like and you have given me a unit rate that has an asterisk and a 2 line explanation. The rate above is inclusive of 10% discount ?
