    Hi All!

I'm currently saving to move to San Francisco in the coming months and would like to get as much information from people who have made the move already!

Any help would be most appreciated!

    Thanks :)

What visa are you moving on?

Have you any idea what part of the Bay Area you may be looking at? Any job prospects?

The bay area is pretty big and each city has different atmosphere and costs associated with it

The more info you can give the more we can help

Craigslist is your friend. Its pretty much taken over as the place to find accommodation, jobs, cars etc etc:

So you don;t have a visa sorted? In that case no, it is not possible.
If you are very fresh out of college, you can try for the one year J1 program, that'll give you some time to experience the USA and maybe find an employer to sponsor you for a work visa. Your only other option is to try for the greencard lottery when it opens again in October.

I believe it is much easier to get a visa for Canada, at least if you are under 35. Check out our Canada forum here: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=1559
