Zingano landed at least one illegal knee in the build up to the finish.

Completely agree with this. Some guy tweeted (or whatever you call it) Tate this picture

Anyone think Browne's elbows to Gonzaga were illegal?

in two ways, both 12-6 and back of the head.

Nope. To the side of the head and they were side on instead of north/south

Back of the head - Yes - For definite in my view (not all of them but certainly the latter ones).

A couple at least were back of the head, don't think any were 12-6 though. Florian put forward the argument that Gonzaga was already out before the shots to the back of the head, and I think he's spot on there.

If the poor guy is out and he's getting more blows to the back of the head isn't that worse?
    for his safety?

As D'arce says should be a NC.

this sport is getting dangerous lately, we've seen Arlovski have his jaw broken cause someone forgot to ring the bell.

Have to disagree the first to the back of the head put him out, should be a nc.

I watched it a few times, and imo the action went as following.
Three elbows to side of the head,
At this point Gonzaga dropped to a knee and the ref started to move in to stop,
The next elbow hit the back of the head, and the next was half cut off by the ref but prob would if hit the back if the head or even the far side.

Gonzaga was out before the rear head strike and the ref was stopping it anyway. DQ and NC rules aren't exactly consistent but the fact that it was already over leads me to think that a win for Brown was correct.

On the other side, in Tates fight the first knee was illegal. Kim Winslow should have stopped it and allowed her to recover. In this case the illegal knee opened up the attack of legal strikes to end it. A lot if people disagree with the 3 points if contact rule, but that's irrelevant. It's the rule we have to work with.

I see it as the third which buckled him was definately back of the head,We'll have to agree to disagree:)I thought the knee was legal:)The picture doesnt show the point of impact, its close though.

The 100% illegal elbow definitely took him out of it further. But I felt the damage was fine, very close. I expected an appeal to the AC would be at least considered.

As for the knee, I slo-mo'd it at the time of my sky recording. The girlfriend thought the hand came up at contact and I thought it I was contact that lifted the hand up. I'm not sure that matters though, when she decided threw the knee Tate was completely grounded, she should know the rules. Lucky for her, Kim Winslow has an even lower grasp of MMA rules.

Disgrace that Bubba got on the main card the guy didn't even deserve the wildcard in the first place.

Outstanding performance by Kelvin especially in the first round really showed that aggression with the hands and wrestling is the best way to beat Hall. Hall was acting the eejit putting his hands down all the time. It will be interesting to see how they both do in heir UFC careers.

Also great to see Dylan Andrew get the victory as well just a pity he never believed in himself against Hall
