Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yes there was contact. Because Ba kicked him.

And leaving that aside, just because there was "contact" doesn't make it a foul. People falling over after "contact" are simulating falling over. It's cheating.

He ran into him, he didn't kick him. It wasn't a penalty for me but sometimes there is contact in the box by a defender. It might not be enough for the attacker to go down but if he loses the ball because of this contact I think he is entitled to go down if that makes sense.

Its like watching Jack Charlton's Irish team here , long ball central !

Pitch conditions don't really suit fancy football. Can see the ball lagging a bit.

This is where we will have to agree to disagree. We have very different views on this. If a player "goes down" when he can easily stay on his feet, he's cheating. The culture that the Shearer's and Owen's of this world have engendered and advocated is disgusting in my opinion. The idea that a player has every right to pretend to be upended, to highlight a foul to the ref.....it holds no water with me. It's just a fancy way of excusing cheating.

It's the very antithesis of sportsmanship and it has no place in the beautiful game.

Swansea really are a nice side to watch anyway. A team full of footballers. Nobody is afraid of the ball . They all want it.

Does not seem to be bothering Swansea much ,

There playing pretty well , leaving Chelsea players with little or no time on the ball

    Hazard has been very poor

Terrible 1st half so far. Swansea going through all day long unless we drastically up the tempo and performance.

Are defenders not cheating us of great goals if they are allowed to get away with sneaky pull backs fouls with slight contact that stop a goal scoring opportunity.

Shocking poor first half of hoofball, suiting Swansea down to the ground. Chelsea need a goal early on in the second half to have a hope IMO.

Thats bloody useless again from Ivanovic.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,594 ✭✭✭kingshankly

Ivanovic must be a Swansea supporter

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,852 ✭✭✭homer simpson

What is with the annoying persistence in trying to get Ivan & Cahill to hoof the ball aimlessly up field. They are not coming close to a blue shirt in the slightest.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

We need lamps or ramires to come for the short ball and play from the cbs....hoofing isnt working at all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

Those kind of half chances is all were creating.

The Ramires/Lampard midfield is so poor. Neither look in any way likely to make a telling pass.

It worked against Arsenal as Mata hazard oscar were playing well. None are playing well now.

Lamps shot sums it up, very wasteful ffs.

Not happening tonight for the Mighty Blues. Whole midfield is muck.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,594 ✭✭✭kingshankly

Ramirez misplaces a 3 yard pass shocking stuff

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

Rafa needs to whip Hazard or at least change it up nothing is going right.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

Ramires is having a nightmare too ffs

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,631 ✭✭✭✭Hank Scorpio

May as well get another striker on now, do or die time!

    edit: Luiz coming on

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,594 ✭✭✭kingshankly

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

Think Oscar ok for someone playing out f position. Ram should be off and Oscar back there pop Marin or Torres up front don't matter at this stage

I'd say Capital One are delighted.

Swansea v Bradford final. Glamour final.
