Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ball boy is lucky he got moved, sitting in front of Chelsea fans, you know how they are. Probably would have had a chair chucked at him.

Swansea fans singing "Your getting sacking in the morning" to Rafa, one can only wish

What will be lost in all the ri ra agus rulla bulla is Swansea have been excellent tonight ,

I agree - terrible shame that that sh1te went on because the way Swansea won this tie is incredible - didn't sit back, kept playing their passing & move game - great stuff.

Hazard will probably get longer than a 3 game ban by the FA (no chance it gets rescinded). The ball boy was being a total twat though and deserved a dig, tbh.

Thing is he might get more. Wouldn't be surprisd to see that kid and his parents go straight to the police and report it as an assault tonight. Sad but could happen. Good man Hazard, that'll learn 'em.

Maybe Laudrup will mention the kid in his team talk for the final.

'Guys, there's a little injured boy at home right now who wants you to win this game.'

100 posts before 9.22, then 160 more in the 20 mins after Hazards moment of madness! says alot about the modern football fan, only interested in the out of the norm incidents....

he should get 6 games minimun for that anyway, was disgraceful.

I'm not saying Hazard isn't in the wrong but I hate to see a person who instigates a situation then cry foul for next to nothing.

There's not too many reasons in life when a grown man should be allowed kick a child, but when he feels his football team is being deprived of 2 or 3 seconds in a tie of three hours is definitely one of those times when it should be okay!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,376 ✭✭✭Anyone

All joking aside, Chelsea were poor and didnt deserve anything tonight. At times they played like they had the 2-0 lead. Fair play to Swansea first major final for them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,638 ✭✭✭Iago

Anybody on here defending Hazard would want to have a think about themselves. He'll be banned for more than 3 games and rightly so.

I get the frustration, but you can't go kicking kids at the side of the pitch, regardless of the provocation.

One way or another Sky and the media in general will make a mountain out of a molehill as usual.

Ball boy is the son of a heavy investor in Swansea football club. This will end in court!

Oh, time for some non-kneejerk (cough), non-xenophobic (cough) reaction live on TalkSport:

"Chelsea football club are out of control. If he did that on the street it's assault. You can't do go kicking ball boys, not in this country" - Mark Saggers

"Disgraceful scenes. You can't do that in english football" - Ray Parlour

Yes I think so, the ball popped out and I can't see how it would do that if he had just kicked the ballboy. He might have caught him with the follow through maybe.

He kicked a kid... doesn't matter what the circumstances!

If he done it to an opponent its a straight red regardless of the context.
Ridiculous carry on from a professional sportsman! Don't understand how anybody is remotely justifying it....?

He pushed the kid to the ground then wrestled him around before kicking him. Lenghty ban and maybe legal action from the kids parents. He could be in serious trouble.

He kicked the ball from under the kid.

And in the process caught the kid too, he had no business going anywhere near the kid in fairness.

    The comments are getting funnier.

Next it will be he jumped on him then got him in a headlock and then and finally stamped the ball out ala rugby style....

He shouldn't have gotten involved no doubt but the kicked the ball from under him.

I'd probably have kicked him as well. It's absolutely wrong, and he'll get banned, but that'd annoy the hell out of me if i was in Hazard's position.

Love the Chelsea fan clapping him at the end :pac:
