    Hi all

I've bought this alarm off the web

    https://www.alertelectrical.com/m/prod/1423?v=6002

would anybody here be able to give me some instructions or guidance on installing it? My house already is wired for an alarm.

    thanks very much

Basically with that system they have to have gained access to the house before it will activate . If you can get a refund , my advice would be to get a HKC panel and wired sensors

What do you need help with?

I don't know where to start to be honest. I have the kit, and the wires are dangling down at the doors, windows etc.

What tools would I need and where do I start?

As John Kelly stated you need to bell out to wires ( find what goes where) take all the red and blacks . Strip them back to reveal the inner wires then strip them and connect the internal sounder at the window or door .
then back where all the wires drop down strip the cables again and find which wire causes the bell to sound using a 9v battery or the back up batt for the alarm .
Then mark and move to the next window
If you have a multimeter all the better
    Hammer drill (sabb)
    Battery drill ( panel . Sensors )
Flat head screw driver ( terminals on board)
    Philips screw driver
    Wire strippers
    Drill bits
    Rawl plugs
    Screws
Multi meter ( or battery )
    Ladder

Edit: I don't think that kit has a sounder so you'll need a multi meter

Just clicked on the link, what system did you get?
Is there not a manual with the kit?
