Killucan graveyards

Just wondering if anyone knows if there was a Catholic graveyard in Killucan/Rathwire before the current one in Rathwire opened? Earliest marked grave I found there was from 1920 and I'm looking for a likely 1880 or earlier opened grave.

I've had a look around Knockmant but it seems significantly older and I was told its actually in Mullingar Parish?

According to Wikipedia, the nearby village of Raharney is in the same R.C. parish as Killucan and the Ordnance Survey Ireland (OSi) historical 25" map lists a cemetery beside the R.C. church in Raharney but none beside the R.C. church in Rathwire. Perhaps the cemetery in Raharney was used for Catholic burials from the Killucan parish before they opened the cemetery in Rathwire?

I'm not from the area, just guessing based on the OSi historical map of the area. In the Wikipedia article on Raharney, there is an intriguing line...

A feature of the village is an old, unused graveyard, perched on top of a small hill on the bend of the river as it leaves the village.

However the OSi Historical 25" map of the area shows this graveyard but the church beside it is marked as 'in ruins' so I'd say it's too old to be of interest to you, perhaps it's a famine graveyard?

Unfortunately the satellite imagery of the Raharney area in Google Earth is very low-res so you can't see any of the features.

I suggest you contact the parish house in Killucan and ask if there's any records available for RC burials in the old graveyard in Raharney.
