tv dvd to audio

i have a technika tv/dvd combi and would like to run sound through my stereo. i have connected the stereo via scart as thrre is no audio out connectors on tv. the problem is that tv audio comes out but when i select dvd as source the analogue tv sound comes from stereo but dvd sound comes from tv. i would be grateful for…

Use the headphone out socket on the tv to the aux in on the stereo
