    Hi

Would appreciate all and any advice! We just had two of our bedrooms dry lined and plastered. Our made to measure roller blinds naturally are too wide now. Does anyone know anywhere they can be resized to fit? Cannot for the life of me remember where we bought them and they are good quality so would hate to have to replace them, not to mention the cost.

I'm fairly certain the steel tube could be cut and the spring/wall fittings re-inserted and of course the material can be cut. I'd say bring them into a blind shop and ask for a price anyway!I regularly have blinds for properties fixed, springs tighted, material recovered etc so I don't see why not :)

Just cut down the blind on the opposite side to the chain/nylon pull cord.

Use a hacksaw to cut the tube to size, and then refit the tube end and clip.

Then use a builders straight edge,a pencil/marker and a sharp stanley knife (or a fabric scissors) to strip/cut down the blind material to its new width.

Ive done it before myself and its no big deal to modify a blind.

    Simples.:)

As above, I've done it myself.

I haven't tried making them longer though ......

Ah thanks for your replies folks! My intial reaction was panic as a google search didn't help so i thought we were going to have to replace. I rang around yest and a place in the KCR in Dublin will resize them for 12quid a blind which I though was pretty good so am going to give them a try. Do not trust hubby with a hacksaw and my lovely blinds :p

The roller blinds in Ikea are all cut-to-size, just cut the tube and trim the blind material.

Hi Digs, I'm also looking for a blind company to do this. What is the name of the company who will resize them for €12 ?

    Thanks
