Washing (and drying) a North Face fleece-lined coat

Fleece-lined coat needs to be cleaned, but I am concerned that if I put it through the washing machine and the dryer that the fleece lining will start to clump together. Any recommendations on how to do this? Thanks,

close all the zips, but it in a cold wash (by itself if possible) & then hang it to dry, don't use the dryer

Is it waterproof? If so you should you use a detergent without surfacants, like nikwax tech wash, which won't damage the DWR.
