    Hi Guys,

I'm planning an 11.2 home cinema room with Neo:x processing so am looking for a reciever that has 11.2 pre-outs.  I think the Onkyo TX NR3010 will fit the bill just from the spec's but I'm not certain as its just whatI'm reading off the spec sheet. Maybe you could check and advise your best price? An open box/ ex demo would be even better as I'd never spent full whack on a reciever but recievers with Neo:x AND 11.1 AND xt32 processing are thin on the ground just for now.

    Thanks!

    Steve

    Hi SoldSold.

I have done a bit of reading on the Onkyo 3010 and it seems to be only 9.2. It does however have the 11.4-channel pre-outs which I think that this is what you are after.

Price on the TXNR3010 is £2499.95

I done some digging and it seems that these two will also do 11.2 and Neo X:
    Denon AVR4520 :
    http://www.denon.co.uk/uk/Product/Pages/Product-Detail.aspx?Catid=HomeTheatre&SubId=AVReceivers&ProductId=AVR4520

    Marantz AV8801:
    http://m.marantz.co.uk/DocumentMaster/UK/Mz_AV8801_Productinfosheet.pdf

I dont have pricing on these at the moment as either of these would be special orders for ourselves.

Let me know if either would fit the bill and I'll try get soem pricing for you.

    Steve,

apologies for the delay getting back to you.

The Onkyo TXNR3010 will give you the 11.2 outs (have a look at the manual here: http://www.uk.onkyo.com/downloads/2/2/4/0/7/Manual_TX-NR5010_TX-NR3010_En_web.pdf ) but I don't have any ex-demo or open box models as we stock it to-order only at £1929.95.

Probably a better alternative would be the Denon AVR4520 http://www.denon.co.uk/uk/Product/Pages/Product-Detail.aspx?Catid=HomeTheatre&SubId=AVReceivers&ProductId=AVR4520 which I can offer at £1899.95..

Keep me posted if either of these are of interest to you??

    Thanks again,

Thanks John/ Kenny for replying to such a specific request, I'll go through the two options and get back to you if I'm going ahead. Probably 50:50 at the moment as I'm tempted to get a 7.1 system like the Onkyo 818 and use it as 9.1 with a separete two channel amp and wait until the amps with 11.1, Neo:x and xt32 drop in price a bit as they depreciate so fast.

    Thanks again,

    Steve

    Steve,

no problem - we always stock the 818 and of course its considerably less expensive than the 11.2 options -

Keep us posted and we will do our best to assist,
