Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That's a beautiful assist for the goal. 90% of players just blast that at goal. Such composure and speed of thought to play the pass.

    Opr

    Fcuking hell
    Stupid goal to concede.
Oldhams only attack point is Matt Smith and we still don't have him copped on :(

I think he looks nothing like me...

It was a foul on sturridge just before the goal though.

    HT 2-1

Coates MUST go on loan, not good enough to just come in as and when, The whole formation is unbalanced drop Allen who cannot cope with stone age footballers (not that he is in decent shape anyway). Lucas on drop Sterling bring on Shelvey.

    ---Lucas-Henderson
    Shelvey
    Borini--Sturridge-Suarez

Oldham were the first club i ever seen live, always had a soft spot for them since.

There shaking pool up but sadly can't see em holding on.

Jones is always a liability, never trust him with even simple balls.
Coates is a disaster today too, lack of game time is not a good enough excuse for how poor he has been so far

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,734 ✭✭✭Fowler87

Ridiculous Dudek-esque error from Jones but how the **** was that not a foul on Sturridge

Sterling should have score don't forget.
Coates, Allen, jones, Martin all at nothing...not happy:(

TBF to Jones it wasn't that easy of a take. The ball was bobbling and was hit with pace, still expect him to save it but we've seen a lot worse.

This will be the game they say Messi would never be up for now! A cold Sunday afternoon in Oldham getting kicked and elbowed all match :D No need to use the cold friday night in Stoke saying anymore :D

They're fond of the elbows alright, ****e first half. Not ideal prep for the game on wednesday

I thought it was a shot at goal myself, either that or he was incredible vision for seeing him without looking in his direction.

Naive of Rogers to play Sterling, Borini, Sturridge and Suarez with a back four that look hopeless. Midfield are just bypassed.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,299 ✭✭✭djPSB

Coates a liability today. Smith is bullying him.

Suarez very poor apart from the goal. Front 4 not up to much.

I thought Allen and Henderson have done well.

Jones. The less said, the better.

That is a losing mentality. Why bother entering the cup then?

Can't complain about the scoreline. Bright side is we have improved from the first 10 minutes, which wasn't difficult.

Coates looks too rusty, and is having a terrible game.

For all the complaints about Suarez picking up stupid yellows, Sterling is almost as bad but unlike Suarez he doesn't seem capable of stopping himself from picking up a stupid second. He also needs to really improve his shooting terrible miss from him to put us up.

Second Oldham goal will fall firmly on Jones, but Robinson was equally at fault.

There was absolutely no pace on that cross, basically a back pass. No excuse needed.

soft enough cross from the right, rolling on the ground towards him and he fumbled it and they knock it in. Horror mistake.

I thought that the first time but the replays clearly show he meant to play the pass. He takes a touch and is looking in the direction of the player as he plays the pass.

An awful cross was played along the ground to him very slowly and he contrived to spill it, it fell to an oldham player who mi**** a shot to another who put it into an empty net.

Still, jones jones should hold onto ball, no excuse, poor goalkeeping.

Because ITV paid millions for him to come over from the BBC so theyhave to do something with him, I bet they so regret poaching him now.
