LOI Prediction League 2013

LOI starts again on March 8th. Going to run the league like last year, same rules apply, 2 points for the correct result, 1 point if the goal difference is the same and 2 points for the same score. All predictions for the week have to be in before kick off of the earliest game. Any posted after the kick off time will not be counted. If anyone misses two full weeks of predictions I will PM them to ask if they wish to continue. If I dont get a reply they will be eliminated.

Might try running a cup competition too, when I figure out how to do it

The trick is to look at previous results and league form. Use logic and experience to assess the likely outcome and then do the exact opposite........

The cup will run alongside the same weeks as the FAI Cup, but it depends on the players in the league, ideally there would have to be 32 teams for it to work properly. What hopefully will happen is that ill put the cup fixtures up like a normal league week, then pair off the teams in the league and the team with the higher score will go through to the next round of the cup. If not I might make it a 4 group thing to ensure 4 teams get to the semi final. As ever I'll be making it up as I go along

i done one for the premiership predictions league last year, you can have that if you want to use it

EDIT: done one = a cup draw/competition, i wrote a java program to do it

Alright lads and lassies, the transfer windows closed and the season fast approaches. I'll be sending PMs to last years runners and riders to gauge the interest and wake them from their close season slumber. Those of you who have already expressed an interest, by all means spread the word, the more the merrier. Sure if we get enough regular bodies my threat of a cup competition might become reality. Get your predictions in for the 8th of March before kick off and we're ready to go.
