Currently I'm using a simple NAS that doesn't even have RAID capability, so I'm using Comodo to duplicate the data incrementally between two disks.

Shortly I will be "digitizing" all our photos and videos so I want to take a full backup offsite every now and again. Does anyone here do this?

    Thanks.

How many GBs are we talking? You could sign up for Dropbox or SugarSync, you get 5GBs free space on each of them (plus an extra 500MB if you use those links). SugarSync is good in that you just select the folder you want to sync and it's automatically uploaded, whereas with DropBox, you have to put your photos in a specific folder

Boardsie Enhancement Suite - a browser extension to make using Boards on desktop a better experience (includes full-width display, keyboard shortcuts, dark mode, and more). Now available through your browser's extension store.

There's Google Drive too, handy if you already have a google account.

I'd estimate it to be about 120GB in total after I have everything converted...

FYI dropbox as standard is only 2GB's unlike sugarsync which is 5GB's.

I was thinking of a used tape drive from a data-center. While I think the cloud is great I'm not sure about using it for all my personal data. Is this a fair way to think?

I don't want to have to encrypt everything although I haven't checked out bitlocker which sounds good. I have a TPM in my laptop also.

For encryption try truecrypt. Also if you're concerned about security then spider oak might be of interest https://spideroak.com/

Ah :o Well, Comodo have an upgrade option with 250GB of online storage, $9.99/month, or $100/year, since you're already using it. The cheap (but not very user-friendly) option would be to just buy an external hard-drive, store it somewhere else and bring it in every once in a while to re-sync
