Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Condencing boiler and heating questions

    Hi there

Just wondering whats the most efficient way to run my oil central heating. I have a condencing boiler running 10 rads downstairs, 9 upstairs and 4 in the attic. The heating is split into zones (downstairs, upstairs and water).
It is controlled by a 3 zone digital clock.

The house is airtight and i have heat recovery in it. We are in it 1 year now and we have not had the heating on a timer just hitting the boost button when we get in from work for maybe an hour or two but i find the house cools down fairly quick.

I have used 550 litres of oil from mid oct to mid jan.

    My question is

1 Would it be better to use the timer and have the heat on for longer rather than hitting boost for an hour or two.
2 For the heat recovery to work properly should the heating be on constant
