In an attempt to get myself back on track I've decided to log my study in my attempt to remain sane on the way to June.

Intro: I'm Ciara, I'm 17, from Dublin and I want to study Business and Management in D.I.T. The course is 400 points, but theres a €2000 scholarship if I get 500 points, plus €500 from my parents. So I'm hoping for anything over 500.

I got 510 points in my Christmas exams, with not a lot of study.

    Subjects:
    English
    Irish
    Maths
    French
    Geography
    Business
    Economics

All at higher level. I average a D in maths, A/B1 in business and economics, mostly Bs in everything.

    Friday 25th Jan:
    • One hour maths grind- focusing on paper two and the exam
    .
    English P1:
    • read notes on the exam structure and tips.
    • Wrote a bulletpoint answer for the 2012 comprehension, text 1.
    • Made notes on the composition section.
    English P2:
Revised the comparative, made notes on:
    • cultural context
    • quotes

    Saturday 26th
No study! I got a freakish 14 hour sleep, then I went to Nandos with two of my girls in 5th year, who are unstressed out. Talked about my debs for FOREVER (eek excitement), then we went to Starbucks afterwards. Such a nice day off!

    Sunday 27th
I made mindmaps for 3 of the poets, with points on theme and language techniques, with relevant quotes and brief explanations for each:
    Bishop
    Shakespeare
    Mahon

I don't suppose you'd be interested in uploading said mind maps ?

I haven't got time to scan and upload them now but I would over midterm if anyone would like.
They're nothing fancy, one page per poet

    -Plath mind map
-Learnt Macbeth quotes, the ones I use most which are relevant for characters and themes
-Did bits of questions from Maths Paper 2 2013 and 2012.
-Felt like crying because why is maths so hard and my exam is on Thursday. I feel like I might fail and I've never failed an exam before.

Maths Paper 2 (we're only sitting a mock in this paper)
    -3 25mark questions
    -half a 75 mark question.
I'm really going to struggle with the 75mark questions, they're IMPOSSIBLE to me :(

After a twitter break, now to revise English Paper 2 for tomorrow.
Then watch Sun, Sex and Suspicious Parents :)

    English Paper 2:
-Made a mind map for Macbeth on characters, theme and language
-Learned quotes for the comparative on my two texts and read my old essays

My hand will be dead tomorrow omg.
That's all the studying for today thankfully.

    Maths P2: WAS A DREAM!
Im so happy, I can never do the long questions but I think I got one right. I didnt leave any blanks and I didn't get stressed out. Practising past papers really does help! :D
prediction: C3/ D1 (if all went as well as I thought)

    Geography:
The short questions were lovely, possibly got full marks. I didn't revise the long questions in depth but I think they mostly worked out fine.
    prediction: B2/B3

I have Irish paper 1 tomorrow. I'm going to take it easy on the study tonight, revise listening vocab, debate vocab, essay phrases and an coras oideachais.
