UCD January Air Open 2013

Many thanks to all who came out in the stormy, cold conditions today for the final three details of the UCD January Air Open 2013. There was a good turnout with 43 entries over the two days and five details (Thursday 24th and Sunday 27th).

The 60 shot pistol competition was a close affair with only 4 shots separating 1st and 3rd places. Wilkinstown’s Tomas Jakubauskas took first place with a score of 536, closely followed by Rathdrums John O’Brien and UCD’s Hui Yu Tham.

In the 60 shot Air Rifle competition UCD’s Lorcan O'Carrol took first place with a one point lead over UCD’s John Lancaster, with Terry Wearen from the the Defence Forces in third.

In the 40 shot Air Rifle Competition DURC’s Aisling Miller took first place with an impressive score of 387 followed by Heather McLoughlin, also from DURC, in second and UCD’s Charlotte Cuffe in third.

Congratulations to everyone who took part over the two days and we hope to see you again at our next competition, the UCD February Air Open 2013 which will take place on Thursday 14th and Sunday 17th February.
