Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

No I'm wrong. Talbot Tagora is what I was thinking of .

Fair play ianobrien. I was looking for Talbot Horizon and 1510 pictures but they didn't quite match. There was something Chrysler about it and Talbot/Chrysler shared some stuff in early 80's.

It was the swage line that gave it to me and the hint of square wheel arch. The rubbing strip reminded me of 80's Ford's though, but the shape wasn't quite right.

Anyway, as I've nothing ready (and won't for a while) somebody who has something ready can take it

Speaking of mutations, anyone want to tell me what this is

Nowhere close with marques or market segment

That door handle is annoying me. I first thought of that DS saloon thing that was for sale on the continent but now I don't think so.

I think that's correct. Look at the roof line and the shape of the quarter light window.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,128 ✭✭✭Tacitus Kilgore

I thought it was a C5 at first, but definitely isn't, the DS sounds about right!

Well done, the clue was in the first post where I described it as a mutant, it's the DS5-LS

    citroen-ds-5ls-china-1.jpg

Not quite a saloon version of the DS5 but a saloon version of the DS4-S which is a longer wheelbase DS4.

It seems that when you mix the French and the Chinese, you get buckets of crazy.

Geez that's gas! It was a total stab in the dark and it worked!

I won't have anything until later on tonight so if someone has something ready they can go ahead.

Some escorts were built in Germany, including the mk2

I'm going to say yes as it's a 2 door Escort Ghia. I got lazy and took a picture of my own car in the garage. There's nothing to tell the 2 door Ghia and the RS2000 apart from that photo. The vinyl roof was fitted to both, both have tinted glass and the headrests were the same.

I knew the German built thing may throw people but that particular car was built in Koln, according to the chassis number (starts with GCAT....)

Edit, the full photos can be seen in the detailing forum.

Yup. Made me think why would somebody want to drive something that looks like a joke bodykit on a very normal little car. I read Aston Martin made it to meet average emissions targets across their range.
