And I'd say European. French, Italian, German and 80ies, maybe late 80ies.

That thing that seems to be sitting on the roof is throwing me off too. At first I thought that was some sort of canvas rollback roof thingy. Now I wonder is it something behind the car, on the wall, that doesnt belong to the car at all? What the hell is that? Part of a taxi sign?

I looked at it again there just to double check and it is apart of the car it is the wind deflector that pops up when the sunroof is open its nothing too distinguishing to be fair.

Edit: and none of the above.

    Mazda 323?

Thought it looked Japanese. Follow your clues and googled hard. Hope that's right now.

Well done its a mazda 323 gtx which was a limited run for the rally car

    GTX_8.jpg

Thats a pretty crap example ad it's stupidly painted up with black wheels but it was only decent high resolution image I could find.

    Glad my clues helped :)

I think you would have had us beat on that first photo of the 323. I wonder are the wheel arches more flared that stock?

    Mystery_Mobile.png

I didn't know this existed till a few days ago, but I know one of you sickos are gonna get it quickly.

I'll try and keep an eye on guesses coming through in the morning.

Edit: I've tried to increase the size of the image, but that's the native resolution I believe. Sorry.

    Citroen SM.

As regards the 323 the wing mirrors were a giveaway as to what it was. I just couldn't place them. Now its bleedin' obvious

Nope. I had to look up SM Espace, but that's not it.

    It's the citroen sm hearse.

Edit: don't even know if it's a hearse or not it looks damn ugly and is some sort of private conversion by looks of it.

Yep, I was pushing the obscure with the shooting break. Although the characteristic shape of the window is the same. Don't know the provenance of the variant.

Shooting breaks generally make good looking cars look silly.
