Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Considering a bit of renovation including replacing TV

Want to wall mount a 40 -50 " flat screen on a wall - but preferably with the ability to rotate the angle and also hide wires if possible.

Any advice from the HE experts on best way to do this ?

Also - are there any wireless solutions available for the cable/sky connections etc ?

The screw holes on the back of all modern TVs are designed to comply to the standards laid down by the Video Electronics Standards Association - VESA so you need to buy a VESA wall mount. Note that VESA is not a brand name but any mount you buy should mention VESA in the title or description of the kit.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flat_Display_Mounting_Interface

When you look at the specs. of a TV, it will give you the dimensions (width x height) of the screw holes in mm. A 40-50" flatscreen would typically have screw holes of the order of 400 x 400 or 500 x 500 mm i.e. when you look at the back of the TV, you will see four screw holes in a square pattern 400 or 500 mm apart. Whatever TV you buy, you need to buy a VESA-compatible wall mount that supports that configuration, a lot of them support several sizes so can accommodate more than one size TV.

Most TV shops sell wall mounts but they have a limited selection and they're a bit expensive, I'd buy it mail order from the likes of Amazon, just search for 'VESA mount' and you'll find a ton of them. Whatever you do, don't buy it from Argos, their prices are ridiculous.
